Physical Examinations
A thorough physical exam is the most important and fundamental piece of veterinary health care. A comprehensive physical exam involves a complete check of your animal from head to tail. A health history is reviewed to address changes, ongoing problems and developing problems. This is the easiest and simplest way to prevent problems before they occur. According to the stage of life; puppies, kittens, adults or older geriatric pets, we design a plan for the future health of your pet.
Laboratory Services
We can provide most routine laboratory diagnostic test. Some test can be performed during the appointment (such as skin scrapings and fecal exams) and other tests that require specialized laboratory procedures are sent to Antech Diagnostics which is one of the largest animal laboratory services available in the United States.
We can perform urinalysis, complete blood counts, blood chemistry, heartworm testing, feline leukemia testing, FIV testing, Cushings and Addison’s Testing, thyroid testing and monitoring, diabetes testing and monitoring and more.
Vaccinations and Wellness Care
Vaccinations are not only safe and effective; they are an important and fundamental piece of your pet’s preventative healthcare plan. Advances in veterinary immunology have made diseases that once were relatively common and fatal to pets easily preventable. Additionally, with each passing year, veterinary science is improving on existent vaccines.
Frontier Mobile Veterinary Service’s vaccination protocol is customized using the American Veterinary Medical Association guidelines, the lifestyle of your pet, and is designed to protect your pet from the diseases he or she is most likely to encounter.

Microchipping
Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don’t make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don’t wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet’s safe return. Your pet needs a form of identification that is reliable and can’t get lost, stolen, or damaged. A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that can significantly increase the chance that your pet will return safely.
Young puppies and kittens can receive microchips, but even if your pet is already an adult, you should consider microchipping. Even indoor pets can get outside accidentally and get lost, so if you’re relying on other forms of identification, you could be placing your pet at risk. Microchipping is a safe, effective way to help ensure your pet’s return if the unthinkable happens.
Nutrition Consults
One of the key factors contributing to the improved health and longevity of companion animals is our expanded knowledge on the important role that proper nutrition plays in overall health. During your pet’s comprehensive physical examination we evaluate his or her body condition and give recommendations based on what we see. However, some pets with nutritional issues or chronic conditions such as diabetes require a little bit more intervention, which may include specialized foods, feeding strategies and even prescription diets.
Behavioral Consults
Behavior problems are the number one reason that owners give up a pet. We offer behavior counseling for a number of issues such as inappropriate urination or defecation, aggression, separation anxiety, inappropriate chewing and barking, introduction of new pets into the household and household pets that are in conflict with one another. Oftentimes a behavior problem, such as inappropriate voiding, can be linked to a medical issue (cystitis, bladder stones, and kidney disease).
We will help you recognize, validate and categorize any behavior issues you may notice. We will then work closely with you to develop a plan to help eliminate your pet’s unwanted behavior. If we cannot help with your pet’s behavior problem, we can refer you to a specialist in animal behavior.
Euthanasia Services
The decision to euthanize one’s pet is one of the most difficult decisions for a pet owner. It is often accompanied by grief, anxiety and guilt at the thought of saying good-bye to a treasured companion.
For us, euthanasia is a responsibility we take seriously and reverently. It is a privilege to be included in a time where final moments are spent with a beloved friend. We are able to compassionately release our patients from their discomfort and offer the owners a chance to say good-bye to their companion at peace in the comfort of their own home. Our patients aren’t required to spend their last moments frightened or distressed in a hospital environment. Rather, they spend their last moments in the arms of those they love, on their favorite bed, blanket or lap. These final moments together are precious and we do our utmost to make those moments calm and serene.
Emergencies
We can usually take care of simple, non life-threatening emergencies such as bite wounds during normal business hours. If you are concerned that your pet is suffering from a serious or life-threatening condition, please proceed to the nearest veterinary hospital or emergency clinic. We can refer you to several hospitals and specialty clinics in the area.
